Lecture on Collaboration of Business and Art
Vera Timoshenko delivered a lecture from her Art & Business series focused on collaborations. She discussed the points of intersection between business and art, examined examples of art collaborations between contemporary artists and international brands such as Louis Roederer, Lalique, Rothschild, and Chanel and highlighted corporate art collections held by investment banks and companies like JP Morgan, Deutsche Bank, UBS, and Credit Suisse.

At one time, Philippe de Rothschild’s desire to feature an artist’s painting on the Mouton label seemed like a mere whim, while David Rockefeller’s decision to purchase art for his offices under the banner of "Art at Work" was viewed as a personal indulgence of the boss. Today, the Château Mouton Rothschild wine label collection dating back to 1945 tours museums worldwide as a bona fide art collection, and the announcement of the artist chosen to design the new vintage has become a major event.

The JPMorgan Chase collection is considered one of the world’s largest and oldest corporate art collections, having set the trend for corporate art collecting.

The lecture took place in an art breakfast format at the La Atmosfera creative art design center at VDNKh.
